Job summary

CLdN is seeking a Port Operations and Contract Manager (London) to oversee third-party terminals and contracts. You will negotiate with port operators, monitor performance via KPIs, and drive continuous improvement across RoRo operations.

You will lead Kaizen and Lean initiatives, coordinate with legal, finance and operations, and report findings to senior management while ensuring cost-effective and compliant port services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Logistics or related field.
  • Maritime logistics experience, preferably RoRo or terminal operations.
  • Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen certification.
  • Excellent administrative, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel to port sites.
  • Leadership and negotiation capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Port Contract Negotiations & Administration: manage agreements with port operators, terminals, stevedores, agents, tugboat services and others.
  • Ensure compliance with berthing, loading/unloading services, and port tariffs.
  • Compare tariffs across the network and drive improvements.
  • Negotiate existing and new contracts; maintain overview of all contracts.
  • Coordinate with invoicing team to ensure correct invoicing.
  • Dispute resolution with ops, legal and finance teams.
  • Maintain contacts with external stakeholders and meet regularly.
  • Serve as link between external port stakeholders and internal teams.
