Job summary

CLdN is seeking two Maintenance Engineers to join a strong engineering team at a busy Ro-Ro terminal on the North bank of the River Thames. You will service, inspect and repair terminal equipment including tractors, reach stackers, forklifts and RTGs, while following repair procedures and safety guidelines.

The role requires City & Guilds Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent, strong fault diagnosis, diesel engine knowledge, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 3 in Engineering practice or equivalent.
• Experience on port terminal equipment is advantageous.
• IT literate across multiple platforms including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and service terminal equipment such as tractors, reach stackers and RTGs.
• Work with management guidance to resolve issues and ensure safety and compliance.
• Travel to other terminals within the group to provide support.
• Maintain high-quality repairs using engineering procedures and standards.
• Assist in developing policies to improve expenditure and efficiency.
• Coordinate with terminal managers to minimise operational disturbance.
• Interface with contractors, suppliers and customers as needed.
• Adhere to health and safety directives and participate in competency training.
