Job summary

HEYSHAM PORT LTD at Birkenhead Docks is seeking a Material Handling Operative to operate the company’s plant and equipment safely and efficiently. You will clean all wheeled assets and handling gear and ensure that checks, audits and paperwork are completed accurately and on time, while maintaining a clean and safe site.

You will build strong relationships with vessel crews, agents and internal engineering teams, prioritising health and safety and TASCC compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial or bulk handling environments.
• Ability to operate listed plant and equipment.
• Understanding and adherence to TASCC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Clean and maintain all wheeled assets and material handling equipment.
• Complete checks, audits and paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintain site cleanliness and safety; identify hazards and record actions.
