Job summary

Heysham Port Ltd is seeking a Material Handling Operative to operate plant and equipment safely at Birkenhead Docks, with occasional travel to other Peel Ports Logistics sites. You will maintain a clean, safe site and work with vessel crews, agents and engineering for fault rectification.

The role requires experience in industrial or bulk handling, ability to operate forklifts and related machinery, and a strong understanding of TASCC regulations, complemented by excellent communication and

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial/general cargo or bulk handling environments.
• Ability to operate Forklift Trucks, Container Handlers, Loading Shovels and Skid Steers.
• Understanding of TASCC regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with multitasking and prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Clean plant and equipment including wheeled assets and material handling gear.
• Complete checks, audits and paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe site and proactively identify hazards.
• Coordinate with vessel crews, agents and engineering for fault rectification.
• Follow health and safety rules and TASCC regulations.
