Associated British Ports (ABP) is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to support the upkeep of port and cruise assets at Southampton. The role covers routine checks, fault response and coordination with vessel movements.

You will operate in an outdoor, busy port environment with on-site duties and a 21-day rotating shift pattern. The position requires experience in maintenance, a UK driving licence and the ability to work at height.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in maintenance, engineering, facilities, plant, industrial or operational environments.
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in a busy operational setting.
• A valid UK driving licence.
• Ability to work at height.
• Electrical qualifications such as 17th or 18th Edition are beneficial but not essential.

Aufgaben

• Carry out routine inspections and maintenance of operational and cruise assets.
• Support berth preparation activities, including positioning passenger boarding bridges, gangways and associated equipment.
• Conduct pre-use checks and ensure assets are safe and ready for operation.
• Provide reactive maintenance and fault response across the port.
• Assist with vessel arrival and departure operations.
• Support wider maintenance and operational teams as required.
• Contribute to the safe and efficient running of Southampton Port.
