Job summary

Morson Edge in the United Kingdom is seeking an Electrical Shift Technician to support our expanding cruise function at Southampton Port. You will perform weekly pre-work checks and assist the day maintenance team.

A mixed electrical/mechanical background, UK driving licence and the ability to work at heights are preferred. 21‑day rotating shifts include early and late starts, with pension, private healthcare, EAP, discounts and training opportunities.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline.
Valid UK driving license.
Ability to work at heights.
17th or 18th Edition desirable.

Responsibilities

Weekly pre-work checks of cruise and operational assets.
Berth prepping for cruise operations, including fender, passenger boarding bridge & gangway positioning, including pre-user checks.
Assisting the day maintenance team / other departments as business requirements allow and is required.
Reactive maintenance port wide on assets which contribute to the smooth running of Southampton Port.
Arrival / Departure operations of cruise ships calling to Southampton entailing the installation of passenger boarding bridges, Crew gangways, Water supply.
