Job summary

Davenant Foundation School is seeking a dynamic Pop/Musical Theatre Tutor to inspire students’ vocal and performance talents. You will deliver engaging individual and group lessons spanning contemporary pop, commercial styles, and musical theatre repertoire, building technical proficiency, stage presence and confidence.

In collaboration with the Performing Arts department, you will help prepare students for school productions, showcases and external exams, fostering an inclusive and passionate

Qualifications

• Experience of Pop and Musical Theatre vocal teaching in a school context including preparation for ABRSM/Guildhall/Rock School examinations
• Experience of leading and rehearsing choirs where applicable
• Good level of keyboard skills (desirable)
• Understanding of and commitment to the ethos and values of the school
• Respect for young people and adults, demonstrated through positive attitudes and behaviour
• Strong interpersonal skills (diplomacy, confidentiality, sensitivity)
• High level of organisation and efficiency
• Team player, able to support and learn from colleagues
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Commitment to undertake relevant training and CPD
• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• Flexible approach to tasks commensurate with the post grade

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging vocal lessons spanning pop, musical theatre, and contemporary styles.
