Job summary

Davenant Foundation School is seeking a music professional with proven experience in Pop and Musical Theatre vocal teaching within a school context, including preparing students for ABRSM/Guildhall/Rock School examinations. The role includes leading and rehearsing choirs and contributing to keyboard-based music activities while upholding the school’s ethos and commitment to pupils and staff alike.

Qualifications

Experience delivering Pop and Musical Theatre vocal teaching in a school context, including ABRSM/Guildhall/Rock School exam preparation.
Experience leading and rehearsing choirs where applicable.
Good keyboard skills would be desirable.
Understanding and commitment to the ethos and values of the school.
Respect for young people and adults demonstrated through positive attitudes and behaviour.
Strong interpersonal skills: diplomacy, confidentiality, sensitivity to others.
High levels of organisation and efficiency.
Teamwork: willingness to collaborate and support colleagues.
