Job summary

Glasgow Life is seeking a dedicated Pool Lifeguard to join the Sports Operations team across multiple venues in Glasgow. The role is 35 hours per week, permanent, with shifts across five days in a seven-day cycle, including early mornings and evenings.

You will supervise the pool, handle customer service, and help maintain a welcoming, safe environment for all visitors. Applicants should hold or be willing to obtain a current Pool Lifeguard qualification (STA/NPLQ) and demonstrate strong

Qualifications

• Current Pool Lifeguard qualification (e.g., STA, NPLQ) or willingness to a scheduled STA course.
• Able to complete a Pool Lifeguard swim test with required distances and times.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with public-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool and changing areas and ensure swimmer safety.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with activities and events.
• Support reception duties including bookings, inquiries, and welcoming customers.
