Job summary

Fife Sports and Leisure Trust in Scotland is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to supervise pool users and maintain safety and cleanliness across wet and dry areas. The role requires current NPLQ and PVG clearance prior to appointment and completion of mandatory Health & Safety training.

You will help with pool tests, equipment checks, basic administration, and customer care, working 25 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern and regular centre commitments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and behaviour of the public and direct activities to prevent injury or damage.
• Attend Health & Safety training and maintain competency for the post.
• Assist with pool tests and plant room operations as appropriate.
• Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance in wet and dry areas.
• Assist with bookings, cash handling, and customer reception when required.
• Supervise children's activities and birthday parties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with operating procedures and emergency plans.
• Provide assistance to centre users including lifesaving support when required.
