Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking an Environmental Pollution Technician to join the Water Recycling team in Ely and surrounding areas. This permanent, full-time role involves responding to pollution incidents, collecting samples, and supporting investigations to protect local watercourses.

You will install and maintain monitoring equipment and contribute to wide environmental improvement initiatives. The position requires a full UK driving licence, willingness to participate in standby

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in environmental protection and water industry beneficial.
• Willingness to work outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Respond to pollution and environmental incidents across the region.
• Collect environmental samples, photographs and site evidence.
• Assess environmental impacts and support mitigation activity.
• Help identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Install, maintain and recover environmental monitoring equipment.
• Maintain pollution response equipment and consumables.
• Collaborate with operational teams, scientists and environmental specialists.
• Promote a proactive, zero-pollution mindset across the business.
