  • Engage with government and regulators to shape relevant DEI, sustainability, and impact policies.
  • Engage with members across the private capital ecosystem to understand their impact investing and DEI priorities.
  • Partner with industry initiatives like Level 20 and the Investing in Women Code to support and raise awareness of DEI efforts.
  • Promote best practices and accountability in DEI.
  • Develop progressive yet proportionate policies and advocacy strategies.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and global trends related to DEI.

Requirements:

  • Experience or understanding of DEI, sustainability, or impact-related matters, preferably within finance.
  • Policy experience or transferable skills demonstrating policy-related capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with senior stakeholders.
  • Effective collaboration skills across teams and departments.
  • Time management and prioritization skills.
  • Motivation to support and develop the private capital industry in the UK.
  • A friendly, engaged, and passionate work environment with social activities and a supportive culture.
  • Competitive salary with performance bonuses, plus benefits including holiday entitlement, pension, life and medical insurance, and professional development support.

The BVCA advocates for an inclusive environment where all employees can reach their full potential, regardless of race, gender, age, disability, religion, political views, or sexual orientation.
