Deliver comprehensive components of a policy launch or cross-functional work product that are integrated into an overarching project, creating meaningful impact in policy work with minimal assistance.

Design, execute, and advocate for policy and standards frameworks, engaging with cross-functional partners to promote trust and mitigate risk for our client. Assess emerging issues and topics, own at least one workflow or project area, and evaluate the impact of local law updates and active litigation. Plan and execute the majority of prioritized project work independently, leveraging team support as needed.

Role Responsibilities:

• Independently identify and recommend innovative solutions to evolving policy problems.
• Address escalated issues or triage when necessary, promptly.
• Deconstruct complex problems, frame policy issues, and contextualize solutions for management and stakeholders.
• Identify trends, anticipate challenges, and develop strategies for ambiguous problems without clear solutions.
• Collaborate within teams to communicate knowledge on a broad set of tasks.
• Identify key stakeholders, build networks, and facilitate cross-team collaborations.
• Foster a respectful and inclusive work environment.
• Engage in thought leadership by collaborating with external partners on policy or innovative approaches.
• Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for project components.
• Work with cross-functional partners, including technical and vendor teams, to support policy launch and implementation.
• Understand the implications of policy and process changes on systems, enforcement, and operations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of policy development and implementation.
• Develop and implement global product policies and standards with regional and cultural considerations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to develop policies for various products, and respond to inquiries and investigations involving users.
• Identify and analyze policy issues affecting the business and users, both current and future.
• Resolve high-impact policy escalations across products with minimal guidance.

Skills & Experience:

• Effective communication skills in both written and oral formats, adaptable to different audiences and contexts.
• Knowledge of online, international, and multilingual communities.
• Understanding of handling disruptive events affecting stakeholders and the public.
• Proficiency in a foreign language such as German, French, Mandarin, Spanish, or Russian.
• Fundamentals of policies and familiarity with the product platform.
• Understanding of internet policies, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with internet technologies, policy, regulation, and content moderation.
• Ability to communicate fluently in French and English.
