Job Description

Policy and Public Affairs Officer
Milton Keynes

Responsibilities:

• Contribute daily to the charity's advocacy and policy work.
• Conduct research and analysis to drive the charity's policy agenda.
• Engage with a wide range of stakeholders including parliamentarians, other charities, and wider sector stakeholders.
• Represent the charity at events, conferences, and forums.
• Assist in report preparations and present findings to a range of audiences.
• Write briefings and contribute to the writing of responses to government papers and consultations.
• Work closely with other teams to keep up-to-date with developments online and in the news.

The Successful Applicant

Essential:

• Working knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to a range of audiences.
• Ability to manage a heavy workload and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience working in policy and public affairs.
• Availability to travel from time to time - either in the UK or abroad.
