They are seeking an experienced policy and public affairs professional with a good understanding of issues affecting children and families to manage and deliver policy and public affairs work for the team.
This role will be pivotal in engaging with policymakers and Parliamentarians, bringing evidence and children’s voices to the heart of government. It will involve policy development and working towards policy changes to improve children’s lives.
The role includes managing and delivering aspects of the charity’s core policy and public affairs work, providing project management for funded policy projects, and generating income during a period of organizational growth.
This charity has made a significant difference to the lives of children and young people across the country, especially the most disadvantaged. They have contributed to major government reforms, including changes to special educational needs, expansion of early years provision, and support for children in foster care beyond 18.
Currently, their focus areas include early years, special education needs and disability, health and social care, and education and learning. They are an organization at an exciting stage of development, emphasizing evidence gathering, research, influencing, and practice improvement.
