Warwickshire Police Community Support Officers

Full-time vacancies available

September 2025 Intake

Salary including allowances is just over £31,000! The Police also receive yearly increments.

Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) inspire confidence on the streets of Warwickshire. They strive to make our communities safer and stronger, performing one of the most demanding roles in the modern police force. PCSOs cannot make arrests and do not carry handcuffs or a baton. They rely on their ability to understand and communicate with some of the most challenging people in difficult situations.

No two days are ever the same; working with a diverse group of colleagues, people get to know you, talk to you, and share their concerns with you.

A member of the recruitment team will contact you if additional information is needed to support your application.

After shortlisting your application, you will be invited to complete a Values and Behaviours Assessment and a Situational Judgment Test. These can be completed in any order and at your convenience over a 7-day period.

Note: You can only complete these assessments with one police force. Once registered with a police force, if you do not complete the assessment or are unsuccessful, you will be unable to reapply for 3 months to any police force.

The next stage will be an interview with our current Police Community Support Officers and other force representatives.

If successful, pre-employment checks including vetting, medical, and employment references will follow.

For further queries, contact the recruitment team at recruitmentsupport@warwickshire.police.uk.

The main purpose of a PCSO is to work within communities to enhance safer neighborhoods and provide reassurance to reduce crime and fear of crime.

All post holders are expected to understand and act within the ethics and values of the Police Service, as outlined in the Competency and Values Framework (CVF). The CVF has six competencies grouped into three categories:

  • Resolute, compassionate, and committed
  • Inclusive, enabling, and visionary leadership
  • Intelligent, creative, and informed policing

This role requires operating at or towards Level 1 of the CVF.

The post holder must hold a current, full driving license.

Anticipate joining Warwickshire Police as a PCSO in September 2025. Please submit your application ASAP!

Part-time positions will be reviewed upon request.

We support recruitment and selection for under-represented groups and welcome applicants from all community sections. We are currently under-represented by females, minority ethnic groups, LGBT communities, and individuals with disabilities. If you possess any of these protected characteristics, contact our Positive Action Officer at positiveaction@warwickshire.police.uk for support, guidance, and questions about your application or interview preparation.
