Job Title: Podiatrist

In partnership with the multi-disciplinary team, the Podiatrist will be responsible for providing clinical Podiatry services and undertaking research. The role involves research planning, development, and execution, as well as treating foot conditions related to Diabetes and developing programs for home-treatment and self-help.

Responsibilities:

Research

• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to identify key research areas and develop research proposals.
• Develop and write research proposals; present them to the ethics committee for approval.
• Conduct research projects following ethical guidelines.
• Prepare final reports and submit manuscripts for publication.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Clinical

• Develop and manage a preventive Diabetes foot care program and formulate individual treatment plans.
• Provide consultancy services regarding Diabetes-related foot complications.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in managing Diabetes-related foot complications.

Undertake all interventions consistent with evidence-based practice, applying knowledge and skills to meet patient needs.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Expertise:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Diabetic Podiatrist.
• Experience in research methods and techniques.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good conflict resolution skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work as part of a large multidisciplinary team.
• Collaboration with other specialists and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.

Education:

Bachelor’s, MSc, or an equivalent degree in Podiatry.
