Job summary

We are seeking Band 6 Podiatrists to join our dynamic team at Guy's & St. Thomas' Hospital, based within the central London Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark.

The role involves wound care management and a 2-day rotating MSK clinic every quarter. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated with broad postgraduate clinical experience.

Patient care occurs in both outpatient and inpatient settings, with occasional coverage of our satellite clinics.

You will work within a team and should possess good communication skills.

Supervision and mentoring will be provided for CPD, along with regular team meetings to update on Department and Trust developments.

Main duties of the job

1. Manage a high-risk caseload, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, utilizing advanced wound techniques in inpatient and outpatient settings.
2. Participate in a 2-day rotational MSK treatment schedule.
3. Handle clinical emergencies in a pressurized environment.
4. Supervise junior staff and engage in teaching, audits, and research activities.
5. Demonstrate understanding of Trust values, responsibilities outlined in the job description, and person specification.
