North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 podiatrist to assess, diagnose and treat foot conditions, including high-risk feet, nail surgery and biomechanics. The role includes a structured preceptorship and induction, with strong links to diabetic foot and MSK teams. Full-time, part-time or job-share options are available.

Applicants need HCPC registration or be working toward it, and an enhanced DBS check is required. Travel across North Cumbria may be involved.

Formación

• Degree in Podiatric Medicine, or in final year of study.
• Local anaesthesia certificate.
• HCPC registration, or working toward it.
• Experience assessing, diagnosing and treating a variety of foot conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients, families and carers, building personalised care plans with other agencies.
• Triage, screen, assess, diagnose and treat podiatric conditions including high-risk foot, nail surgery and biomechanics.
• Formulate and deliver individual treatment plans within scope of practice.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment programmes as required.
• Follow treatment plans for foot ulceration using electronic records and wound care apps.
• Identify escalation points and refer to a senior podiatrist as needed.
• Prioritise foot and medical problems and respond to complex or urgent situations.
• Provide foot health education to patients and stakeholders.
