Job summary

Serco Limited in Portsmouth is seeking a Project Management Officer to join the Vessel Replacement Programme. You will support planning, governance and reporting to keep the programme on track and ensure robust documentation and change control.

The role offers hybrid working, a salary of circa £40,000 per annum, and a strong focus on collaboration, governance and continuous improvement within a defence programme.

Qualifications

• Experience in PMO, project support or programme coordination.
• Experience managing RAID logs and risk management processes.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience using project planning tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Existing BPSS clearance or ability to obtain SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of the Vessel Replacement Programme
• Maintain RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies) logs and support risk management activities
• Create, manage and control project governance documentation
• Maintain project documentation including Project Definition Documents, programme plans, communications plans and project management records
• Manage action trackers and change logs
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and record accurate minutes
• Support key performance indicator reporting and programme performance tracking
• Ensure adherence to PMO processes, standards and governance requirements
