Job summary

Tesco’s Governance & Standards team within the PPMO drives consistency across Finance Change delivery. You will govern methodologies, perform health checks and gate reviews, and coach stakeholders to embed best practices. You’ll influence with clear communication and help shape flexible governance structures as environments evolve.

You’ll partner with Programme Delivery, Finance Change Leadership, and PMO managers to ensure artefacts meet standards and are securely shared with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Programme and Portfolio management office experience with understanding of PMO process and delivery methods.
• Formal qualification in Portfolio/Programme/Project Management desirable (P3O, MoP, MSP, APM).
• Self-starter capable of autonomous work.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Strong coaching, presentation and communication abilities.
• Able to manage moving priorities.
• Confidently challenge decisions and data where appropriate.
• Excellent knowledge and advanced use of PowerPoint and Excel.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain consistent standards across the Finance Change portfolio.
• Conduct gate assurance reviews for portfolio governance approval.
• Perform health checks on projects to maintain standards and report results.
• Design governance structures enabling effective decision-making and control.
• Continuously review governance processes to adapt to change.
• Work with programme management to maintain standards and implement new approaches.
• Develop training materials and train stakeholders on revised ways of working.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure artifacts meet standards and are shared securely.
