Job summary

AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited in Stevenage is launching an apprenticeship within the Project Management Office (PMO). Start date 31st August 2027, duration 4 years, for a student pursuing a BSc Hons Project Management Integrated Degree.

Applications open until 26 October 2026, with early submission recommended. We offer 37 hours per week, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, success share and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• An understanding of Project Management methodologies;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Good organisational skills;
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel;
• Proficiency in the use of Google software;
• Experience of using databases is beneficial, but not essential;
• Submit your CV stating your grades and if they are predicted or achieved;
• Submit a Cover Letter highlighting your passion and suitability for this apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the PMO and Project Managers (PM) in the development and maintenance for the appropriate business management tools, other relevant methodologies, tools, templates, documentation and reporting to support the successful delivery of projects;
• Supporting the Head of PMO on delivery improvement workstreams and PM digitalisation;
• Maintaining and tailoring processes for Project Management as required by the business and developing / maintaining software tools to support the Business and Information Management Systems;
• Liaising with the PMO, Risk and Integrated Planning Managers to support the implementation of best practice Project and Risk Management across the business;
• Actively working on project plans, issue & change management logs, risk & opportunity registers, project management information & data gathering, milestone tracking & customer and other stakeholder monthly reporting to support the successful delivery of projects.
