Job summary

AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited offers an Internship in Stevenage starting July 2027 for 13 months within the Project Management Office (PMO). The role involves supporting project management activities, reporting, and process improvement across programmes and projects.

Applicants should be undergraduates, studying business management or related fields, with strong Excel and Google software skills, and an interest in project management. Hybrid working options are available depending on the role.

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards a degree in Business Management or related subject
• Understanding of Project Management methodologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
• Proficiency in the use of Google software
• Experience of using databases and analysing data is a plus
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good organisational skills and detail orientated

Responsibilities

• Assist the PMO and Project Managers (PM) in the development and maintenance for the appropriate business management tools, other relevant methodologies, tools, templates, documentation and reporting to support the successful delivery of projects
• Support the Head of PMO on delivery improvement workstreams and PM digitalisation
• Maintaining and tailoring processes for Project Management as required by the business and developing / maintaining software tools to support the Business and Information Management Systems
• Liaising with the PMO, Risk and Integrated Planning Managers to support the implementation of best practice Project and Risk Management across the business
• Actively working on project plans, issue & change management logs, risk & opportunity registers, project management information & data gathering, milestone tracking & customer and other stakeholder monthly reporting to support the successful delivery of projects
