Job summary

ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is seeking a PMO Analyst on a 1-year fixed term. The role sits within the Portfolio PMO team and offers location flexibility with occasional travel to Glasgow or London for workshops and meetings.

The candidate will report to a Senior PMO Analyst and work across the full lifecycle of change initiatives, providing process expertise, governance support and budget management.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide programme/project process expertise and analysis across the full lifecycle of changes.
  • Facilitate workshops and governance forums with accurate documentation and follow-up.
  • Manage programme budgets: forecast spend, PO handling, actuals, month-end processes.
  • Support resource management and onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Enforce governance structures and coach project teams as required.
  • Undertake portfolio analyses of plans, risks, issues and dependencies for senior stakeholders.
  • Drive PPM tool adoption as a single source of truth for analysis.
  • QA of artefacts, processes and RAID logs.

We’re currently looking for a PMO Analyst on a 1 year fixed term basis. This position sits within the Portfolio PMO team. We are flexible on the location of this role but may require travel to the Glasgow or London office for workshops and meetings occasionally.

The Job

Reporting to a Senior PMO Analyst, on a day-to-day basis, you’ll be involved in the following:

  • Provide programme/project process expertise and analysis services to support the organisation during the full lifecycle of any change initiative.
  • Facilitate programme workshops and governance forums, ensuring information presented is accurate, all outcomes are clearly documented and followed up
  • Ensure programme budgets are actively managed, including tracking forecasted spend, managing Purchase Orders, reviewing actuals and managing the month end financial process for the programme.
  • Support resource management processes ensure successful onboarding and offboarding processes are in place
  • Support and enforce agreed portfolio/programme/project governance structures and processes e.g., project mobilisation, reporting requirements, gateway reviews, and that stakeholders involved in the project/programmes (including Project Managers) are supported and coached as required
  • Undertake portfolio analysis of plans, change logs, risk & issues registers and dependency networks providing insightful information to senior stakeholders at time of need
  • Drive PPM Tool adoption ensuring once source of the truth for analysis and stakeholder engagement.
  • Quality assurance of project artefacts, process and RAID logs
The Person

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Previous experience of Portfolio planning and resource management
  • Self-motivated to review portfolio performance and analyse the data to provide insightful reports which allow for decision making
  • High level of communication skills which can be adapted for different stakeholder groups and forums
  • A team player, who can work within a team to identify synergies and help solve any problems together
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads appropriately
  • Has strong Microsoft expertise including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Azure Dev Ops and Power Bi
  • Confident individual who is proactive in their approach and will challenge the programme when required
