Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a Plumbing Workshop Technician for a College in Uxbridge. The role focuses on practical workshop prep, equipment maintenance and learner support, with a long-term opportunity within education.

The candidate should have practical plumbing experience, strong health and safety awareness, and be comfortable supporting learners aged 16-19. 36 hours per week, based at the Uxbridge campus, with excellent benefits and a Local Government Pension.

Qualifications

• Practical plumbing experience essential.
• Level 2 plumbing qualification acceptable; Level 3 desirable.
• Experience with tools and workshop environments.
• Willingness to support learners aged 16-19.
• Strong health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workshop and practical lesson materials for Plumbing.
• Maintain tools, equipment and teaching environments.
• Monitor stock levels and raise purchase requests as needed.
• Support health and safety standards across the workshop.
• Assist lecturers and learners during practical sessions.
• Keep workshops clean, safe and ready for teaching.
• Engage with learners aged 16-19 in a practical education setting.
