Plumb Centre Coventry, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a Sales Assistant/Delivery Driver to join our team. The role blends van deliveries with friendly service at the trade counter and requires a proactive, customer‑focused approach.

You will drive a 3.5T van locally, assist with warehouse duties, and help to grow branch sales by building relationships with customers. A Full UK Driving Licence and prior face‑to‑face customer service are essential, with occasional Saturday work.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Previous face-to-face customer service is essential.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and take on a diverse role.
• Prior warehouse experience would be ideal.
• Proficient in computer skills.
• Comfort with lifting heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5T van delivering plumbing and heating supplies to customers in the local area.
• Serve customers on the trade counter by understanding their needs and recommending products.
• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email promptly and courteously.
• Proactively contact customers to build relationships and drive branch sales.
• Assist with warehouse duties including picking/packing orders and unloading deliveries.
• Maintain high standards in the branch.
