Job summary

Henry Blue is seeking an experienced Plumbing Teacher to join their Building Services department at a well-established FE college in Mansfield. You will plan, deliver and assess plumbing courses, tutor learners, and help shape best practice within the department.

The post offers involvement with full-time and part-time learners, exciting curriculum development, and opportunities to progress professionally, with a DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Cert Ed/PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in plumbing.
• Recent industry experience in plumbing.
• Assessor Award desirable or willingness to work towards.
• English and Maths to at least Level 2 desirable.
• Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and develop plumbing programmes for groups of learners.
• Assess learners against established guidelines.
• Act as personal tutor, providing feedback on progress to students and managers.
• Monitor and manage attendance and standards of behaviour.
• Contribute to quality procedures and self-assessment processes.
• Keep up to date with curriculum developments in the vocational area.

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, professional individual to develop and teach plumbing across a range of courses, working with both full-time and part-time learners.
