Job summary

[Unknown FE College] is seeking an experienced Plumbing Teacher to join the Building Services department. You will design, deliver and assess plumbing across courses, acting as personal tutor for learners, planning and improving vocational programmes, and shaping best practice within the department.

The role involves teaching both full-time and part-time learners, monitoring attendance and behaviour, and contributing to quality and curriculum development in a dynamic FE environment.

Qualifications

  • Cert Ed/PGCE or teaching qualification (or willing to work towards)
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant vocational sector
  • Recent, relevant industry experience within plumbing
  • Assessor Award desirable (or willing to work towards)
  • English and Maths to at least Level 2 desirable
  • Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver and develop plumbing programmes for groups of learners
  • Assess learners against established guidelines
  • Act as personal tutor, providing feedback on progress to students and managers
  • Monitor and manage attendance and standards of behaviour

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Further Education college for an experienced Plumbing Teacher to join their Building Services department. One with some of the best facilities in the UK

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, professional individual to develop and teach plumbing across a range of courses, working with both full-time and part-time learners. You'll plan, deliver and assess vocational programmes, act as personal tutor to your learner groups, and help shape best practice across the department.
