Job summary

Metrorod Deeside & North Wales is seeking a plumbing-focused Reactive Plumbing Engineer in the Bangor area. You will primarily perform plumbing works while supporting reactive drainage call-outs and related tasks in a varied day-to-day role.

A full UK driving license is essential, with opportunities to gain specialist leak detection skills and progression through ongoing training. Overtime is paid for on-call duties and a branded company vehicle may be provided.

Qualifications

Full time permanent. Salary £35,000 - £38,000 + on-call, overtime & benefits.

Metro Rod work with the likes of Equans, Amey, Aldi, Mitie, Greggs, McDonalds, Wetherspoons and many more in the FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial and Leisure sectors. What are we looking for?

We are seeking a plumbing-focused engineer who is flexible, eager to learn, and interested in developing additional specialist skills within the drainage and leak detection industry.

The successful candidate will primarily carry out plumbing works but will also be expected to support reactive drainage call-outs, blockage clearances, and related works as part of a varied day-to-day role.

This role also forms part of an on-call rota, with overtime paid at 1.5x standard hourly rate.

There will be opportunities for further training and progression into specialist leak detection services.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

We are looking for a competent Plumbing Engineer who is used to reactive work. Ideally we require an NVQ Level 2 however are open to someone with time-served experience as an alternative. This person will be open to learning drainage with a view to this being a dual-role further down the line.
