Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a part-time Plumbing Assessor for a college in Hull. The role involves managing a caseload of students, reviewing evidence, and guiding learners through the NVQ course, with CPD support and flexible working patterns.

Requirements include a PGCE or equivalent (or willingness to work towards one), NVQ Level 3 in plumbing, an assessors award, and UK DBS clearance. Permanent placements may follow after a supply period.

Qualifications

• Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
• Experience working within schools in the UK.
• Experience assessing plumbing (ideal).
• Experience within the plumbing industry.
• NVQ Level 3 in plumbing or related area.
• Hold an assessors award.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure and relevant checks.
• CV must cover full history.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of students and ensure progression through the NVQ course.
• Review submitted evidence and provide constructive formative feedback to support passing end-point assessments.
