Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a part-time Plumbing Assessor to support learners at a Hull college. The role involves managing a caseload, reviewing evidence, and providing feedback to ensure successful end-point assessments.

The position offers flexible hours (18.5 per week) and potential progression to permanent status. Experience in UK schools, a PGCE or equivalent, an NVQ Level 3 in plumbing, and an assessors award are preferred, with DBS and right-to-work checks required.

Qualifications

• Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
• Have experience assessing plumbing (ideal).
• Have experience within the plumbing industry.
• Hold an NVQ Level 3 in plumbing or related area.
• Hold an assessors award.
• Have enhanced DBS disclosure and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of students and guide them through the NVQ course.
• Review submitted evidence and provide constructive feedback to help students pass end-point assessments.
• Visit students at their place of work as needed to monitor progress and support learning.
