Job summary

Think Recruitment is recruiting for a Multi-Trade Operative to deliver responsive repairs in social housing properties in Coventry. The role is temporary to permanent with a competitive hourly rate. Relevant plumbing and carpentry skills are essential, along with a valid UK driving licence.

Work will involve carrying out repairs across occupied properties, maintaining safety, and providing professional tenant communication to ensure high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience in responsive repairs in social housing or occupied properties.
• Proficient in plumbing, basic carpentry and patch plastering.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs across social housing properties.
• Complete plumbing repairs including taps, toilets, leaks and waste pipes.
• Undertake basic carpentry repairs to doors, locks, handles, skirting and other timber fixtures.
• Patch plastering and minor making-good work.
• Diagnose faults and ensure repairs are completed to a high standard.
• Communicate professionally with tenants and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Multi-Trade Operative - Responsive Repairs

Location: Coventry

Salary: £21 - 23 ph (CIS or Umbrella)

Think Recruitment are working with a leading Housing Associtation in Coventry. We are looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to complete responsive repairs in occupied social housing properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out responsive repairs across social housing properties.
• Complete plumbing repairs, including taps, toilets, leaks and waste pipes.
• Undertake basic carpentry repairs to doors, locks, handles, skirting and other timber fixtures.
• Complete patch plastering and minor making-good work.
• Diagnose faults and ensure repairs are completed to a high standard.
• Communicate professionally with tenants and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience completing responsive repairs.
• Experience working in social housing or occupied properties.
• Competent in plumbing, basic carpentry and patch plastering.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload.
• NVQ or C&G level 2 (essential)
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
