Job summary

Planet Recruitment is seeking a Plumber to join our client in Oxford. The role is permanent and full-time, focusing on installation, maintenance, and minor repairs across the College estate.

You will handle water supply, drainage, heating systems, and associated plant, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Responsibilities include reactive and planned maintenance, safety testing, document keeping, and collaboration with the Maintenance Operations Manager to prioritise tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to install, repair and maintain plumbing systems.
• Experience with water supply, drainage and heating systems.
• Familiarity with water hygiene and safety procedures.
• Capable of completing planned maintenance with documentation.
• Willingness to work with other site teams and support events.

Responsibilities

• Undertake reactive, planned and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems across the College estate.
• Carry out plumbing installations, repairs and replacements (taps, valves, pipework, sanitaryware, heating components).
• Test and inspect plumbing and heating systems for compliance with regulations and policies.
• Plan, prioritise and coordinate mechanical service maintenance tasks.
• Ensure safe workmanship and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Support out-of-hours College events with plumbing-related needs.
• Work with the Maintenance Operations Manager to prioritise tasks.
