Job summary

Link Contracting is recruiting an experienced Plumber to join its growing team. You will handle plumbing installations, maintenance and reactive works across a range of sites, including occupied premises, with occasional joinery/tiling tasks as needed.

Role involves travel with a company vehicle and fuel card, a 31k–34k salary, and clear development plans in a supportive environment. On-the-road work and flexible hours are part of the role.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds plumbing qualification required.
• Proven maintenance plumber experience in live environments.
• Full UK driving licence and good customer service skills.
• Basic IT skills for job reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a full range of plumbing installations, maintenance and repairs.

• Attend call-outs and emergency repairs as required.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Plumber to join our award‑winning team. The Role

As a Plumber at Link Contracting, you will deliver high-quality plumbing works, including both planned projects and reactive maintenance, across a range of sites such as retail units, pubs, and public buildings. We’re ideally seeking someone with multi-trade experience, who can also support with basic tasks such as joinery, tiling, or plastering when required. You’ll be expected to liaise directly with customers and colleagues, ensuring work is completed to the highest standard with excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a full range of plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs
• Deliver planned works and reactive maintenance across multiple sectors
• Attend call‑outs and emergency repairs as required
• Work collaboratively with other trades to meet client goals
• Provide a “first-time fix” approach wherever possible
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and site contacts
• Complete all job‑related documentation accurately and on time
• Work safely in line with Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Participate in ongoing training and development

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds in Plumbing
• Proven experience as aMaintenance Plumber
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Basic IT skills for job reporting and documentation
• Experience working in occupied premises / live environments

Desirable:

• G3 unvented hot water cylinders cert
• Multi-trade skills (e.g. basic joinery, tiling, plastering, decorating)
• PASMA
• IPAF
• SSSTS

Working Requirements

• Willingness to travel as part of the role
• Flexibility with working hours, including occasional early starts or night work
• Participation in an on‑call rota
