Job summary

A plumbing and heating services company based in Earlston is seeking a full-time maintenance plumber. The successful candidate will perform reactive and planned plumbing works for both commercial and domestic clients. Key responsibilities include installing and maintaining pipework, ensuring high standards of work, and operating under company Health and Safety guidelines. Qualifications

• Strong plumbing maintenance knowledge, ideally gained through reactive and planned repairs.
• Ability to think on your feet and come up with solutions.
• Minimum of NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in plumbing; qualifications in another trade discipline are advantageous.
• Positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a full UK driving licence.
• Ideally hold gas qualification.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out plumbing works for both commercial and domestic clients.
• Ensure all work is undertaken to a high standard with minimal supervision to diagnose faults and deliver effective solutions to customers.
• Install, maintain and repair pipework, sanitary fittings and water heaters.
• Take ownership of work, aiming for "First Time Fix" on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
• Operate within company Health and Safety guidelines and stay up to date with technical and legal requirements of the skill areas.
• Work commences from home address.
