Job summary

Red Rock Consultants Ltd is seeking a fully qualified plumber for installation, maintenance and reactive works across commercial, industrial and residential projects. Based in the West Midlands, you will join a team with potential to move to a permanent position and will occasionally travel nationwide.

You will support the Plumbing/Mechanical Director, mentoring junior engineers while delivering high-quality plumbing solutions.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified / time-served plumber with relevant trade papers.
• Experience in commercial and domestic plumbing installation.
• Reactive maintenance and project-based plumbing experience.
• Ability to mentor and support less experienced engineers.
• Comfortable working independently and in a team.
• Willingness for occasional nationwide travel.

Plumber - Installation & Maintenance (Temp to Perm)

Location: Based in Walsall/Birmingham/West Midlands (with some nationwide travel)

Pay: £19/hour + Overtime (x1.5 after 42 hours/week)

Package:

• Company van (diesel), phone, tablet, paid monthly (18th), average 12-20hrs overtime/week

The Role:

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Plumber to join our team on a Temp-to-Perm basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position for the right candidate.

You will be carrying out plumbing installation, maintenance and reactive works across a range of commercial, industrial and residential projects.

This role is vital in supporting the Plumbing/Mechanical Director, who oversees all projects and team development. We need someone dependable who can help lighten the workload while also supporting and mentoring junior engineers.

Ideal Candidate:

• Fully qualified / time-served Plumber
• Strong background in commercial and domestic plumbing installation
• Experienced in reactive maintenance and project-based plumbing works
• Able to mentor and support less experienced engineers
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team
• Flexible with occasional nationwide travel
• Experience with heating systems, hot & cold water systems and sanitary installations is a bonus
• Commercial project experience would be advantageous

Key Projects/Clients:

• Canal & River Trust - Lock keepers' cottages (residential, industrial and commercial)
• Vue Cinema, Manchester - Plumbing and mechanical upgrades
• Amey (North Birmingham) - Mental health centre upgrades, including plumbing and mechanical works
• Cinch Offices - Office and call centre refurbishments, including plumbing installations
• Ongoing reactive, project-based and rollout work
