Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking a reliable Plumber for a long-term contract in Oxfordshire. The role focuses on reactive maintenance within secured environments, requiring successful security vetting and CSCS clearance.

Initial work is in a controlled setting with potential to move across public and private sector sites, including hospitals and educational establishments. Essential items include NVQ Level 2, CSCS, full UK driving licence, and owning transport/tools.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent plumbing qualification.
• CSCS card.
• Full UK Driving Licence; own transport and tools.
• Fluent English communication.
• Ability to pass strict background checks and security vetting.
• DBS would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Reactive plumbing maintenance and repairs.
• Fault finding and diagnostics.

Plumber - Long-Term Contract

Location: Oxfordshire

Rate: £200-£220 per day

Contract: Long-term freelance

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for a skilled and reliable Plumber to join the team on a long-term contract basis.

The initial role will be based within a secured environment, working as part of a day-to-day reactive maintenance team. You must therefore be comfortable working in a secure environment and able to successfully complete the required security vetting.

The Role

• Reactive plumbing maintenance and repairs
• Fault finding and diagnostics
• Repairing and replacing taps, valves, toilets and other plumbing fixtures
• Carrying out general plumbing repairs and remedial works
• Basic water system maintenance
• Identifying leaks and carrying out repairs
• Using power tools safely and effectively

Long-term opportunities to work across a wider range of public and private sector sites, including hospitals, educational establishments, social housing and other secure environments.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Plumber
• CSCS card
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent plumbing qualification
• Full UK Driving LicenceOwn transport and tools
• Ability to operate power tools
• Fluent English communication skills
• Ability to pass strict background checks and security vetting
• A current DBS would be advantageous. If you do not already hold one, assistance can be provided with obtaining this.
