Job summary

Liberty Gas Group is seeking an experienced plumber to perform repairs and installations in occupied residential properties. You will diagnose faults, install hot and cold-water systems, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering reliable service.

Applicants should have a recognised apprenticeship with NVQ L2/L3, a current CSCS card, and a valid driving license. Experience in social housing and asbestos awareness are desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an Apprenticeship with NVQ L2/L3.
• Strong knowledge of domestic water systems and maintenance in residential settings.
• Current CSCS card and asbestos awareness preferred.
• Must have a current driving license and own tools are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Repair burst pipes and resolve leaks in occupied properties.
• Install and repair hot & cold-water supplies, baths, showers and toilets.
• Locate and repair bursts in hot/cold-water lines and waste systems.
• Clear blocked drains and toilets and diagnose faults in water systems.
• Report works using PDA and document safety incidents.
• Be flexible and adapt to different customer schedules and needs.

Responsibilities

• Repairing burst pipes
• Resolving leaks from taps, toilets and pipework
• General plumbing repairs and quick fixes within occupied properties
• Diagnosing and rectifying faults in domestic water systems
• Install, repair/ replace hot & cold-water supplies, including baths, showers and toilets and waste systems
• Locate and repair hot and cold-water bursts
• Clear blocked drains and toilets
• Trace, diagnose & identify faults on hot & cold-water systems
• Report / Complete works using your PDA
• Report accidents, near-miss events, and potential hazards
• Be flexible in working with a wide range of customers, adapting to their needs and schedules

Qualified plumber

• Minimum 5 years plumbing experience
• Strong knowledge of domestic water systems
• Experience working in occupied residential properties
• Social housing experience is desirable but not essential
• Basic tiling skills would be advantageous
• Completed NVQ Level 2 qualification
• Must have served a recognised Apprenticeship and qualification (NVQ L2/L3)
• Competent in all aspects of plumbing trade discipline and with experience of maintenance work on domestic properties, pre pain repairs and refurbishments
• A background of plumbing and experience in the installation of wet rooms & Disabled adaptions
• Experience working within social housing environment doing bathroom replacements, pipework alterations and other repairs
• Demonstrated ability to work with own initiative and deal with problems encountered.
• A current driving license is essential

Skilled workers will hold a CSCS Card, have asbestos awareness and their own tools.
