Job summary

18 Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Plumber for a permanent role delivering reactive and planned plumbing works across social housing properties. You will work in occupied and void properties, carry out day-to-day repairs, and ensure high standards of workmanship.

You will have your own basic trade tools, a clean UK driving license, and a DBS check. The role includes a company van and fuel card, paid holiday entitlement, and a competitive salary.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day plumbing repairs within social housing properties.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, burst pipes and faulty pipework.
• Repair, replace, and install taps, toilets, basins, baths, and showers.
• Carry out bathroom refurbishment and upgrade works.
• Repair and replace hot and cold-water systems.
• Trace and resolve plumbing faults efficiently.
• Complete minor tiling, patch plastering and making-good works.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within timescales.
• Accurately complete job sheets and maintenance records.
• Deliver excellent customer service whilst working in tenants' homes.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and company standards.

Are you an experienced Plumber looking for a secure, long-term opportunity within the social housing sector? We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused plumber to join a busy repairs and maintenance team delivering responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and refurbishment works across occupied and void properties.

This is a permanent role offering a company van, fuel card, and the opportunity to join a well-established organisation with a strong pipeline of work.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day plumbing repairs within social housing properties
• Diagnose and repair leaks, burst pipes, and faulty pipework
• Repair, replace, and install taps, toilets, basins, baths, and showers
• Carry out bathroom refurbishment and upgrade works
• Repair and replace hot and cold-water systems
• Undertake waste pipe and drainage repairsTrace and resolve plumbing faults efficiently
• Complete minor tiling, patch plastering, and making-good works associated with plumbing repairs
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
• Accurately complete job sheets and maintenance records
• Deliver excellent customer service while working in tenants' homes
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures and company standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plumber within repairs and maintenance
• Experience working within social housing is highly desirable
• Ability to carry out both reactive and planned plumbing works
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Must possess own basic trade tools
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Clean DBS check
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Relevant plumbing qualifications preferred
