Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking an experienced Social Housing Plumber to join our repairs and maintenance team in London. You will carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance and installations across social housing properties, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will diagnose faults, repair leaks and water supply issues, install taps and fittings, attend emergency repairs, and work with tenants to deliver a professional service while complying with health and safety

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a plumber, ideally in social housing, local authority or housing association environments.
• NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing or equivalent qualification.
• Good knowledge of domestic plumbing systems and repairs.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule.
• Commitment to health and safety and delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive plumbing repairs and planned maintenance in occupied and vacant social housing properties.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing faults, leaks, blockages and water supply issues.
• Install and repair taps, toilets, sinks, baths, showers, pipework and associated fittings.
• Complete minor plumbing and maintenance works as required.
• Attend emergency and urgent repairs when required.
• Work respectfully with tenants and provide a professional customer service.
• Complete job sheets, records and compliance documentation accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety requirements and industry standards.
