Example Recruitment is seeking a qualified Plumber with Gas qualifications to join our repairs and maintenance team covering Glasgow and the Central Belt. The role involves reactive domestic repairs and maintenance, typically completing 4–6 jobs per day, with a commitment to safety and high standard workmanship.

The successful candidate will deliver excellent customer service at every visit and work to current regulations.

Qualifications

• Qualified Plumber with current Gas qualifications.
• Experience carrying out repairs and maintenance work in domestic properties.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing and gas repairs and maintenance works.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs effectively and efficiently.
• Attend approximately 4 to 6 appointments per day.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with current regulations and safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer care and maintain a professional manner when dealing with tenants and homeowners.
• Complete relevant paperwork and job records accurately.
• Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota on a 1-in-6-week basis.

Plumber / Gas Engineer

Location: Glasgow & Central Belt
Salary: £35,000 per annum + Overtime + Call-Out Allowance
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 39 hours per week

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am to 3:30pm
• Overtime available at 1.5x hourly rate
• Call-out rota: 1 in every 6 weeks

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Plumber / Gas Engineer to join our growing repairs and maintenance team covering Glasgow and the Central Belt.

This is a varied and rewarding role, carrying out reactive repairs and maintenance work in domestic properties. You will typically complete between 4 and 6 jobs per day, ensuring all work is delivered safely, professionally, and to a high standard.

Requirements

Essential

• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

• Experience working within social housing or planned/reactive maintenance contracts.
• Additional trade skills would be advantageous.
