South Yorkshire Housing Association operates a responsive repairs team, delivering gas and plumbing services to homes and care facilities. The role involves wet plumbing with occasional gas work, in properties across the region, and requires a full driving licence, a Gas Safe registration, and a proven track record of high workmanship.
You will join our Home Maintenance Team, providing customer-focused repairs with a 37-hour week, 27 days leave plus holidays, and a company van with fuel card.

Salary starting at - £36,056 - £38,631 per annum, includes 5% market supplement
Additional Multi-skill bonus of £1308 per annum paid monthly for qualifying staff
Required to carry out of hours on call service on a rota basis, with additional payments made for this
We have an opportunity for a gas qualified plumber with proven track record to join our day to day responsive repairs team
The successful person will provide a variety of plumbing installations and repairs, working in customers' homes as well as vacant properties and our care facilities. While this role will predominantly focus on "wet plumbing" works there be a requirement to carry out gas works from time to time.
You will be working for our Home Maintenance Team, who are a team of trade professionals.
You will maintain the high standards expected of this team and deliver excellent customer care at all times while working to tight deadlines. This is a role working in a fast paced environment that is frequently subject to change.

Salary - Starting at £36,056 for a 37 hour week - Rises to £36,915 after successful completion of probationary period
Salary rises incrementally up to £38,631 over a five year period
Working hours - 37 hours per week
27 days annual leave, Bank holidays including an additional 4 bank holiday days
Driving licence essential - Includes a company van and fuel card

Reporting to the HMT Gas Supervisor the role will entail working alone or as part of a small team. You will be carrying out plumbing installations and repairs in the homes of our customers, and buildings owned or maintained by SYHA. In this role you will be working to achieve high standards of workmanship and excellent customer care at all times.
