Job summary

Sovereign Network Group is hiring an experienced Plumber to service our North Hants, Basingstoke & Surrey locality. You’ll perform repairs and maintenance on SNG properties, install sanitary ware, kitchen sinks and piping, and service water mains and heating systems while traveling across the designated area.

The role requires NVQ level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent, a CSCS card is desirable, and a full driving licence with vehicle access is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing.
• Experience in working in occupied premises and delivering good customer service.
• Strong health and safety awareness and practices.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain domestic plumbing installations.
• Install replacement sanitary ware, baths, showers, sinks, and pipework.
• Install and repair water mains, heating pipework, and drainage components.
• Vent/repair HWSS cylinders and storage tanks; maintain cold water storage.

What we do makes a real difference to people's lives, and you'll share the satisfaction of doing something that really matters in a environment where your health and safety is important to ensure you and your colleagues stay safe and well, everywhere, every day.We are now the 6th largest housing association by size - with almost 3000 colleagues, over 85,000 homes and over 200,000 customers across London and the South.We're currently recruiting for an experienced/qualified Plumber to join our Property Team in our North Hants, Basingstoke & Surrey locality.As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a business use van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.What you'll be doing:As a Plumber you'll complete plumbing repairs and maintenance jobs to SNG's properties in line with work schedules within our Responsive Repairs Team and elsewhere depending on demand.Tasks to include:Repairs to domestic plumbing installationsInstallation of replacement sanitary ware and baths, shower trays and level decks and associated equipmentInstallation of kitchen sinksInstallation of new pipe work (copper, speed fit, waste, rainwater)Installation of new sundry items such as taps and ball valvesRepairs to sundry itemsInstalling and repairing water mains supplies, heating system pipe work and drainage stop tapsInstalling and fixing domestic appliances like showers and washing machinesVented and unvented cylinder heads (HWSS qualified or alternative)Cold water storage tank maintenance and renewalWhat you'll need:You should have a minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing OR have at least 5 years experience within this core trade. You will have experience of working in occupied premises and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.Enjoy working as part of a teamThe ability to use mobile technology such as iPad or PDA is essential.
