Job summary

Sovereign Network Group (SNG) is hiring a Heating Engineer to perform gas servicing and breakdowns in customer homes across the Berkshire area. You will conduct planned maintenance, repair gas leaks, and install/repair heating systems while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Applicants should hold CCN1, CENWAT1, MET1, CKR1, HTR1 or equivalent qualifications, an NVQ Level 2 in Domestic Plumbing, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Domestic Plumbing (or equivalent).
• GC gas qualifications CCN1/CENWAT1/MET1/CKR1/HTR1 required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Gas Servicing and Heating Breakdowns in customer homes.
• Carry out planned maintenance checks on gas systems and equipment.
• Repair gas leaks or faulty parts and install/repair heating pipe work.
• Advise customers on gas safety and energy efficiency.

What we do makes a real difference to people's lives, and you'll share the satisfaction of doing something that really matters in a environment where your health and safety is important to ensure you and your colleagues stay safe and well, everywhere, every day.As a Heating Engineer , you will carry out Gas Servicing and Heating Breakdowns within Sovereign Network Group's customer homes in accordance with prescribed work schedules, the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) regulations and to Sovereign Network Group's established standard procedures set for delivery of exceptional customer service.You will also carry out planned maintenance checks on systems and equipment, repair gas leaks or old gas system parts , and be responsible for installing/repairing heating system pipe work , while advising customers about gas safety and energy efficiency.As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road, we will provide you with a van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.What we're looking for:Gas qualifications:CCN1 - Core Gas SafetyCENWAT1 - Central Heating Boilers & Water HeatersMET1 - MetersCKR1 - Domestic CookersHTR1 - Gas Fires & Wall HeatersIdeally, you'll have an NVQ Level 2 in Domestic Plumbing (or equivalent)Great communication skillsA full UK driving licence with the ability to drive a company vanPrevious experience as a domestic gas service and breakdown engineerPreferably, experience of working within social housingComfortable working independently and as part of a teamConfidence in using IT equipment such as iPadsPlease note, this role is subject to a satisfactory licence check, essentialqualifications check and a basic disclosure.About SNGIt's an exciting time to be a part of the team as Sovereign have joined forces with Network Homes to form SNG (Sovereign Network Group).
