Job summary

Niyaa People is recruiting a Plumber for reactive repairs across occupied social housing in South Oxford and Newbury. You’ll earn £23 per hour with a company van and fuel, working 40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with a 1-hour break, and a temp-to-perm path after 16 weeks at a salary of £36,000–£38,000.

The role covers SNG and Aster housing association properties, handling tasks from taps to full bathroom works while maintaining safety, professionalism and tenant relations in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Solid plumbing experience in reactive repairs.
• Social housing experience preferred.
• Experience in occupied properties and reactive maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
• DBS check available or facilitator on request.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive plumbing repairs across occupied homes.

Job description

Enjoy a Plumber role covering South Oxford and Newbury, paying £23 per hour + company van and fuel, with the opportunity to go permanent after 16 weeks on a salary of £36,000–£38,000.

This is a fast-paced reactive repairs role working across occupied social housing properties, so you’ll need to be comfortable managing a busy workload and dealing professionally with residents. You’ll be working on SNG and Aster housing association properties, with jobs ranging from quick tap changes through to full bathroom works.

As a Plumber, you will be:

• Completing reactive plumbing repairs across occupied homes.
• Carrying out everything from tap changes and minor repairs through to full bathroom works.
• Completing associated multi-trade repairs where required.
• Working across SNG and Aster housing association properties.
• Managing a fast-paced workload and responding to changing priorities.
• Working professionally with tenants and minimising disruption.
• Completing jobs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
• Completing relevant job sheets and paperwork.

• Strong plumbing experience.
• Social housing experience is preferred, but similar domestic maintenance experience will be considered.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• A background in reactive repairs and maintenance.
• The ability to work quickly and independently.
• A professional and customer-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
• A DBS – if you don't currently have one, this can be arranged.
• Availability to start quickly.
