Job summary

Ashfords LLP is recruiting two Paralegals to join our busy Plot Sales team in the Real Estate department at our Exeter office on a full-time, permanent basis. You will progress plot sale transactions from instruction to completion, preparing contracts, TP1s and leases, and liaising with clients and third parties to keep matters moving towards exchange.

Ideally you’ll have some Paralegal or Legal Assistant experience, with a proactive, organised approach and strong IT skills to produce accurate,

Qualifications

Ideally, you’ll have gained some experience in a Paralegal or Legal Assistant role and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in developing a career in law.
You are a proactive and organised individual who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering excellent client service.
You’ll be comfortable managing a busy workload, balancing competing priorities and working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A strong communicator with a positive and enthusiastic approach, you’ll be keen to learn, quick to pick up new information and confident building relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

Responsibilities

Progress plot sale transactions from instruction through to completion.
Prepare contracts, TP1s and leases using standard precedents.
Liaise with clients and third parties to obtain updates and ensure progress toward exchange and completion.
Assist with Land Registry applications and related filings.
Maintain regular communication with clients and support the wider Plot Sales team to deliver a high-quality service.
