Job summary

PLM is seeking a consultant in the United Kingdom to work closely with clients across engineering, manufacturing and lifecycle management. You will translate requirements into practical PLM solutions, configure systems to match workflows, and lead implementation efforts while delivering training and ongoing support.

The role emphasizes strong communication, workshops, and a proactive, self-driven mindset to adapt to various client environments and projects.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of consultancy or client-facing experience.
• Understanding of PLM, digital transformation or engineering software environments.
• Experience with PTC solutions such as Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx.
• Background in IT, industrial design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or related field.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate them into practical solution recommendations.
• Basic project management experience.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Confidence running workshops and client conversations.
• Strong listening and consulting acumen.
• Self-driven and able to manage your own workload.
• Ability to adapt to different client environments and project requirements.
• Drive to develop technical and consulting skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse client requirements across product development, manufacturing and lifecycle management.
• Translate business needs into PLM recommendations and solution designs.
• Configure PLM systems to match client workflows and industry requirements.
• Support software installation, configuration, customization and data migration.
• Integrate PLM with ERP, CAD, CRM and IoT platforms.
• Lead implementation activity and manage timelines and budgets.
• Deliver training and workshops for client teams.
• Provide technical support and act as escalation point for PLM issues.
• Build strong client relationships and act as trusted advisor.
• Stay current on PLM trends and digital transformation technologies.
