Job summary

PLM is seeking a flexible PLM Consultant in the United Kingdom to work with engineering and manufacturing clients. You will translate business needs into practical PLM solutions, configure systems, and support data migration while leading workshops and client conversations.

With 2–4 years of consultancy experience and a solid PLM/engineering background, you will build strong relationships and deliver value across projects. A permanent contract supports long-term collaboration and growth.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ experience in consultancy or a similar client-facing role.
• Understanding of PLM, digital transformation or engineering software environments.
• Experience with PTC Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx.
• A background in IT, industrial design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or a related field.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate them into practical solution recommendations.
• Basic project management experience.
• Clear communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Confidence running workshops, training sessions and client conversations.
• Strong listening skills and solid consulting acumen.
• Self-driven, proactive and able to manage your own workload.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse client requirements across product development, manufacturing and lifecycle management.
• Translate business needs into clear PLM recommendations and solution designs.
• Configure PLM systems to match client workflows and industry requirements.
• Support software installation, configuration, customization and data migration.
• Integrate PLM with ERP, CAD, CRM and IoT platforms.
• Lead implementation activity, keeping projects on track with timelines and budgets.
• Deliver training and workshops to maximise PLM value for client teams.
• Provide technical support and act as escalation point for PLM issues.
• Build strong client relationships and act as trusted advisor throughout projects.
• Stay current on PLM trends and emerging digital transformation technologies.
