Job summary

Samuel Frank is seeking an experienced PLC Software Engineer to join a South Yorkshire based systems integrator. You will design and develop PLC/SCADA software for process control projects and carry out on-site commissioning across regional sites.

The role involves drafting detailed design specifications, test documents and manuals, with a mix of office-based development and hands-on commissioning. A UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship are required.

Qualifications

• Strong PLC programming experience, ideally Siemens TIA Portal.
• Experience in systems integrator or process control projects.
• Ability to produce detailed engineering documentation and project files.
• Experience commissioning control systems on industrial sites.
• UK driving licence and right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC and SCADA software from scratch for process control projects.
• Involved throughout the full project lifecycle from initial design through commissioning and handover.
• Experience producing detailed functional design specifications, test documentation and technical manuals.
• Carry out on-site commissioning work across regional customer sites.
• Projects are varied with office software development and practical commissioning activity.
