Job summary

Samuel Frank Associates Ltd, based in Cheshire, is recruiting a PLC Controls Engineer to design and implement PLC/SCADA software for industrial automation. You will take ownership from design through commissioning on varied projects across utilities, manufacturing, energy and chemicals.

The role combines office development with occasional on-site commissioning, guided by an experienced team. A UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

Commercial PLC programming experience, preferably Siemens TIA Portal.
Experience in control systems engineering or industrial automation.
Background in systems integrator, OEM or process control environment.
Experience in water/utilities, manufacturing, chemicals, energy or related industries.
Willing to travel to sites; UK driving licence; right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Develop PLC and SCADA software from scratch for industrial processes.
Manage full project lifecycle: design, development, testing, commissioning, handover.
Produce FDS, test documents and technical manuals.
Commission and troubleshoot control systems at customer sites within the region.
Collaborate with experienced engineers to solve technical problems.
